Ubuntu or Linux change directory using cd
Type:: cd then your folder you want to move to.
Example:: $ cd Downloads or $cd /home/username/Downloads —Moves to downloads

Concept of Current directory in Linux or Ubuntu
The current working directory is represented by a single dot (
Two dots (
..), one after the other, represent the parent directory or the directory immediately above the current one.
If you type
cd ., you will change into the current directory.
To move into Home Directory use (
~) ie: cd
